Ghana’s interim head coach Otto Addo says the Super Eagles of Nigeria are not better than the Black Stars neither is Black stars better than Nigeria.
According to him, both teams are favourites to win the game but Ghana is more determined to beat Nigeria.
Otto Addo was speaking at the pre-match press conference when he was asked by a Nigerian journalist whether Ghana still has the chance of qualifying since it’s strikers can’t score.
Responding to the question, the coach said he believes his players can score. He said Ghana missed some chances during the first leg in Kumasi and if they improve in their final decision making in the box they can get some few goals.
Another Nigerian journalist asked him if he feels pressured to qualify for the World Cup since his predecessor was sacked following the Afcon group stage exist.
He answered that he doesn’t feel pressured to be the coach of the Black Stars but rather he feels privileged to be the interim coach of the team.
He further noted there are lot of Ghanaians who wish to be in his position as the coach so it is a privilege not a pressure.
He also added that he has told his boys to go out and have fun and try to win the game. He would accept any mistakes that come along.
