Award-winning Female Entrepreneur and Event Planner, Empress Jamila Styles has send some of advice to Ghanaian youth about the influence of social media.
Empress Jamila was speaking to Nana Yaa Konadu on Talklifegh Show while sharing her life experience on the programme.
The host, Miss Yaa Konadu asked Jamila Styles that people feel pressured about the expensive clothes and luxurious lives some people especially celebrities live on social media.
Addressing this question, the award-winning entrepreneur said pressure is for the weak people.
According to her, nobody should feel pressured by the life of another person he or she sees on social media.
She further explains that social media pressure is for the weak, that’s why those who feel pressured by others would use illegal means to get what they see others are wearing.
She revealed that her mother trained her very and because of his background too, she noted that she used to hustle with her mother.
They used to eat gari a lot and so gari has become her favorite food naturally. She added that she likes gari not because she can’t afford expensive food but because she grew up eating it a lot.
Miss Empress Jamila stressed that she has been using the same cloth line she used to wear many years ago, she has never changed because she felt pressured by someone’s expensive clothes she wore online.
She therefore advised the youth shine away from being pressured and influenced by those who like to flaunts their luxurious lives on social media.
