Ghana’s Dancehall wonderkid Epixode has stated that Shatta Wale is just a musician and not a dancehall artiste.
Speaking on Okay 101.7 Fm, Epixode credited Stonebwoy as the originator of Afro Dancehall genre.
He went on to acknowledge Ketchup who is a Nigerian Reggae Dancehall artiste who is also adding up to be one of the Afro dancehall artistes.
Speaking on if Samini is a dancehall artiste, he answered affirmatively and added that Samini does all the genres which is evident in his albums.
Epixode answering to the question if Shatta Wale is an Afro dancehall or a reggae dancehall artiste, he said:
“Ermmm. I think with him I would just call him a musician”.
