Multiple award-winning dancehall musician, Shatta Wale is currently trending on Twitter after his sutble tweet jabbed targeted at David Nicol-Sey got the attention of Twitter users.

Shatta Wale angrily slammed music video director, David Nicol-Sey for suggesting he’s “the main reason why the Ghanaian music industry is failing.”

Earlier, Shatta Wale made a controversial submission on his Snapchat that some Ghanaian music video directors shoot videos to compete with international stars like Jay Z and that he has been making his money through the same videos some describe as poorly executed.

In reaction to this, David Nicol-Sey said the Taking Over hitmaker’s argument are ‘baseless’ and called Shatta Wale “one big empty barrel” for constantly making condescending statements towards his colleagues and consequently lamenting about the underperforming state of the Ghanaian music industry.

In rebuttal, Shatta threatened to beat up the young video director following his altercation on social media.

In Addition Shatta took to Twitter to share a screenshot of his airtime and bundle to shade Nicol-Sey who obviously may not have the same amount of airtime on his phone.

Sharing the photo, Shatta captioned, “They don’t even have this credit.”

Meanwhile, Ghanaians on Twitter have taken on the musician for sharing his airtime and data bundle on social media while his colleagues are winning awards and setting records.

Ghanaians On Twitter Mock Ghana Police As BoG Set To Scrap GH¢1 And GH¢2 Notes; See Reactions

The GH¢1 and GH¢2 notes will be phased out of circulation soon, as the Bank of Ghana gradually plans to remove them from circulation.

According to the Central Bank, the poor handling of the notes, that is torn and soiled, make it expensive to print them.

Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Ernest Addison, addressing the press said the Central Bank will not print any more of the ¢1 and ¢2 notes when those in circulation are phased out.

According to him, the two denominations will be replaced by the ¢1 and ¢2 coins respectively.

“The view for the longer term is to more or less get the ¢1 and ¢2 notes and use the ¢1 and ¢2 notes coins.”

“Both the GH¢1 and GH¢2 notes would eventually be phased out because they are not cost-effective in terms of the printing cost”, he pointed out.

“These are notes that circulate very widely, and they come back very torn and soiled and they are very difficult for our currency processing machines to process. We have bales and bales of ¢1 notes that we are not able to process”, Dr. Addison stressed.

“You will recall that this is a note [¢2] that was issued as a commemorative note; commemorative notes are not notes that you continue to print”, he continued.

“What we have done in the last two years is to introduce the ¢2 coin. You would expect that, eventually, it would more or less play the role that the ¢2 note is playing.”

On social media, the news have stirred a mixed reactions from Ghanaians as they have reacted to it.

New Study Lists Washington D.C., Boston And Atlanta As Top Three Cities For Single People

As people say, numbers don’t lie! One study collected and crunched digits across 100 cities to find the best place for singles to match and mingle. According to Apartment List, who curated the study along with Bumble, Washington D.C., Boston and Atlanta are the top three places for single people in 2021.

In their reveal of the results, Apartment List offered some reassurance to those scarred by dating. Turns out that dating challenges can partially stem from where someone lives. That’s right, not all cities are equally filled with the opportunity to be wined, dined and swept into love.

“Proximity is one of the major factors in the perfect SO for you,” Apartment List wrote on their website. “If you’re ready to finally find “the one,” there are some cities where your odds may be better.”

To narrow that list down, the housing site paired with the dating app to examine 100 US cities. The study measured four categories including dating satisfaction, social satisfaction, dating affordability and percentage of singles. The total score for each city is the weighted average of the four individual scores. Dating satisfaction held a 40 percent weight while the remaining categories held 20 percent each in the study.

Overall, the study pinpointed a few trends among the single people assessed. Apparently, the East Coast is the best coast to live out your romantic dreams. Six cities from the winning coast claimed spots in the top ten list. In addition, college cities are also heavy hitters for singles with 50 percent of the list mirroring the site’s “Best Metros for College Grads” list.

Still, a winner had to be declared. At the top of the list sits the nation’s capital Washington D.C. The city ranked high in percentage of singles as more than half of the city’s population identifies as single. Washington D.C. also ranked high in dating affordability with a three-course dinner and movie date landing at a $105 price point.

The full list, in order, includes: Washington D.C., Boston, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Pittsburgh, Richmond, Austin, Denver, Chicago and Seattle.
