Ghanaian dancehall sensation, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, prominently known as Shatta Wale, has made headlines by deactivating his Twitter account, which had amassed an impressive following of over 3.5 million users.
The surprising move comes as Shatta Wale expressed his exasperation with what he perceives as a perpetuation of negativity and unwarranted agendas by some Ghanaian users on the platform.
The abrupt decision to withdraw from Twitter was announced by Shatta Wale himself, citing his disillusionment with what he termed as a consistent presence of bitterness and what he labeled as “foolish agendas” that seemed prevalent among some Ghanaian users on the platform. His departure from the social media giant marks a significant move for the artist, who had used the platform extensively to connect with his fans, promote his music, and engage in discussions.
