Sarkodie Lambaste Sammy Gyamfi.

Multiple award wining rapper Sarkodie has made his opinions known over the ongoing controversies courted by the National Communications Officer , Sammy Gyamfi of the National Democracy Congress (NDC).

Sammy Gyamfi was scolded by social media users on Twitter when he used the disheartening death of Black American Floyd to play politics.

The spokesperson of the Opposition party shared an artwork which showed Jean Mensah, Electoral Commissioner Of Ghana and President Nana Akuffo-Addo forcing a new voters register on Ghanaians.

The sharing of the artwork was contended by most social media users which made him react.

Following the reaction from social media users, he took to his Facebook page and said:

“Floyd was choked to death, while screaming for breathe. In GH today, the Jean Mensah -led EC is seeking to disenfranchise millions of eligible voters through a xenophobic voters register. The potential victims of this grace injustice are screaming for breathe. They are screaming for their inalienable right to vote.

“Nothing wrong with sharing a cartoon which draws a parallel between the painful xenophobic murder of George Floyd, and the evil attempt by the GH EC to disenfranchise millions of eligible voters through a xenophobic voter register.

Injustice anywhere, is a threat to justice everywhere. This is a serious matter not a joke.”

Sarkodie on the other hand believes that the NDC spokesperson was making fun of the death of the Black American . He admonished Sammy Gyamfi to pull down his statement.

Sarkodie posted a tweet and said:

Naa my brother we all go wrong sometimes. I will believe your intention wasn’t to joke with these serious n very sensitive issues, but u still wrong just do what’s right.retract and take it down”.
