Renowned Reggae/Dancehall artist, Samini, has strongly refuted claims suggesting Ghana has lost its distinct musical identity or voice. In a recent discussion on Property FM, the singer of “Good Vibes” expressed firm conviction in Ghana’s enduring musical quality and unique sound.
Dismissing the notion that the country’s musical identity has waned, Samini emphasized, “I don’t think we’ve lost our sound, so I don’t share the same sentiments or views.” According to him, his own musical style has persisted over the past two decades, showcasing a consistency that affirms Ghana’s musical essence.
The artist, known for his distinguishable approach to music, highlighted the continuity of his distinctive sound throughout his career. “Because I’ve been creating Samini music for the past two decades and that’s what I’m about…So if you listen to ‘Good Vibes’ today and you go and listen to ‘Where My Baby Dey,’ you’d know that it’s the same guy,” he affirmed.
