Reckless Truck Driver Arrested Few Hours After It Was Posted Online

The Ghana Police Service has arrested a reckless Truck driver seen in a viral photo on social media.

Since President Nana Akufo-Addo appointed COP Dr George Akuffo Dampare, as new Inspector General of Police (IGP), there has been a massive change in police service, which has eventually affected the effectiveness of their work.

A Netizen by the name George Sarpong posted a photo of Truck driver on social media platform and tagged the Ghana Police Service, calling on them to arrest the driver for reckless overtaking on the road.

The incident occurred on the Kwahu Fodoa road. The Netizen noted that the Truck driver pushed oncoming vehicles off the road at no overtaking zone.

He added the vehicle’s number in his report.

The Ghana Police Service have acted in swiftly, as they have released a press statement to confirm the arrest of the 31-year-old driver identified as Awal Mohammed.

The statement adds that the suspect has been arraigned to appear before court.
