A joint task force comprising police officers and National Security operatives on Friday morning stormed the residence of Ashanti Regional New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi.
According to reports from, the team arrived with a court-issued search warrant authorising them to thoroughly inspect the property. While the warrant has been confirmed, the reasons behind the search have not yet been made public.
Chairman Wontumi’s current location is unknown, and he was reportedly not at home at the time of the operation.
