The vetting begins at 9:00 am with Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, nominated for the position of Minister of Defence. Following this, Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum, Member of Parliament, will face the committee at 11:00 am for his proposed role as Minister of State in Charge of Special Initiatives.
In the afternoon, at 1:00 pm, Adjei Kenneth Gilbert, the nominee for Minister of Works, Housing, and Water Resources, will be vetted. The day’s session will conclude at 5:00 pm with the vetting of Charity Gardiner, nominated for the position of Minister for the Ahafo Region.
The vetting process is crucial in assessing the qualifications, experience, and vision of the nominees. It also allows members of the committee and the public to evaluate their readiness to assume office and contribute to the effective governance of the country.
These appointments are expected to play a pivotal role in shaping President Mahama’s administration and advancing his agenda for national development. The outcome of today’s vetting is highly anticipated by Ghanaians, who are keen to see how the nominees address questions about their plans and policies for their respective portfolios.
