Margaret Ansei, widely known as Magoo, has been named the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA). Her appointment took effect on January 27, 2025.
Ms. Ansei, a former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Suhum in the Eastern Region, brings a wealth of experience in governance and community development. Her appointment underscores the government’s confidence in her leadership and ability to advance the agency’s mission of empowering micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
As the Acting CEO, Ms. Ansei will focus on strengthening the GEA’s initiatives, which include capacity-building programs, innovative support for small businesses, and financial interventions aimed at boosting economic growth and creating jobs.
The Ghana Enterprises Agency is a key institution responsible for promoting and supporting MSMEs, which constitute a significant portion of Ghana’s economy.
