OSP releases 2026 court dates for ongoing criminal trials

The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has released a schedule of court dates for several ongoing criminal trials set to be heard in the first quarter of 2026.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, January 27, the OSP outlined hearing dates for cases scheduled between January and March, marking the next phases of judicial proceedings in a number of high-profile matters.

According to the schedule, The Republic v. Kenneth Ofori-Atta and seven others is expected to be heard on January 29, 2026.

Another case, The Republic v. Mustapha Abdul-Hamid and nine others, has been fixed for multiple hearing dates on February 2, 9, 12, 17, 19, and 23, suggesting an extended period of court sittings.

The case involving Adjenim Boateng Adjei will also come before the court on January 27, 28, and 29.

In March, The Republic v. Sumaila Abdul Rahman, Stephen Yir-Eru Engmen, Patrick Seidu, and Andrew Kuundaari is scheduled for hearing on March 9.

Other cases listed include The Republic v. Charles Bissue and two others, slated for January 28, February 3, and February 4, as well as The Republic v. Issah Seidu and three others, scheduled for February 9.

The Republic v. Ibrahim Kofi Sessah and another is also expected to be heard on February 11.

The OSP noted that the dates represent the next stages in the judicial process for the listed cases and assured the public that further updates would be provided as proceedings continue.
