RIVERS STATE GOVERNOR BAR. NYESOM WIKE INSTRUCTED TRADITIONAL RULERS, COUNCIL CHAIRMAN TO ENFORCE THE CLOSURE OF RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATIONS.
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has enforced Task Force in different communities to make sure there will be no opening of markets, hotels, churches , mosque , and beer parlours across the State. Governor Wike said the shutdown crowded is very important in other to slowdown the spread of coronavirus.
The Governor told the Traditional Rulers, council chairman to work with his administration to make sure every movement of the people in the state are under control. So they could check the transmission of coronavirus.
Wike also told his administration to continue to work on the state borders to ensure that they remain closed. He told all the Local Government Chairmen to take very serious measures to stop people coming in to the state.
Also, encouraged the people of Rivers State to stay at Home. With this the case of coronavirus will not increase in the state.
