NDC Expresses Strong Condemnation of Odododiodio Vetting Chaos, Vows to Punish Culprits

The Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Greater Accra Region, Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, has strongly denounced the acts of violence that occurred at the party’s regional office in South La. The incident took place during the vetting process for parliamentary candidate aspirants in the Odododiodio constituency on Friday, October 13, when a group of thugs stormed the premises, causing property damage and assaulting a journalist from Citi FM/Citi TV.

During an interview on Citi FM’s Eyewitness News, Mr. Ashie Moore issued a sincere apology to the general public and those affected by the actions of the perpetrators. He assured the NDC’s unwavering commitment to identifying the individuals responsible for the vandalism and attacks, emphasizing that they would be duly punished.

“On behalf of the Greater Accra Regional NDC, we sincerely apologize for the unfortunate events that transpired, as well as to Akosua Otchere for the ordeal she endured,” Mr. Ashie Moore stated. He further emphasized the party’s determination to take all necessary measures to apprehend the culprits and hold them accountable for their actions.

In an earlier statement, Mr. Ashie Moore expressed his personal apologies to Akosua Otchere, the journalist who was assaulted, assuring her that he would cover all the medical expenses resulting from the incident.

The NDC’s condemnation of the chaos and their pledge to ensure justice for the victims highlights their commitment to upholding peace and order within their party. The incident has sparked widespread outrage and calls for swift action to bring the offenders to justice.
