The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has donated GH₵60,000 to support families affected by the fatal Obogu road accident that claimed the lives of 16 members of the Saviour Church of Ghana.

NDC National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, accompanied by regional party executives, visited the Asante Akyem South community on Saturday, August 10, to console the bereaved. The donation included GH₵50,000 for the victims’ families and GH₵10,000 for the church.

The tragic crash occurred on July 28, when a vehicle carrying church members collided with a fuel tanker. Four survivors remain in hospital but are reported to be recovering well.
