Nana Aba Anamoah Shields Samira Bawumia Amidst Anger Over Allowances And Salaries Saga

Award-winning ace broadcaster, Nana Aba Anamoah has cautioned critics of Second Lady, Samira Bawumia amidst anger over allowances and salaries saga.

Recall, GhArticles reported that Ghanaians went wild on the first lady and second lady after their presidential spouse’s allowances and salaries were leaked.

Following the public uproar, Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo and Mrs Samira Bawumia recently issued a press statement to confirm that they were returning all the allowances and salaries they took from 2017 till date.

In a statement coming from her Office, sighted by GhArticles, Mrs Bawumia indicated that she will also “not accept any monies allocated to her pursuant to the recommendations of the Prof Yaa Ntiamoa-Baidu led committee, as approved by Parliament.”

The second lady is expected to refund a total of ¢887,482 to the state following this decision.

Meanwhile, on Twitter Mrs Samira Bawumia has been heavily criticized by Ghanaians.

However, Mrs Bawumia is not alone in this battle as Nana Aba has decided to defend her for free.

In a series of tweets, the media personality noted, “If you want to take Samira Bawumia on, no problem. She’s a public figure and it comes with the territory.”

According to her, those slamming the second lady should not attack her dressing or makeup but based on issues.

She further stated that when she says something good about NDC, NPP supporters attack and when she does same for NPP, NDC supporters also come after her.
