“My Boss, President John Evans Atta Mills, was a Selfless Leader” – John Mahama

John Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has expressed his admiration for the late Prof. John Evans Atta Mills, highlighting his commitment to supporting the vulnerable.

In a Facebook post, Mahama reflected on his former boss’s dedication to social welfare, emphasizing that Prof. Mills prioritized the nation’s needs over personal and political interests. He recounted how Mills, upon assuming office from the NPP government, notably reduced his own salary to demonstrate solidarity with Ghanaians facing economic difficulties.

Mahama stated, “My boss, President John Evans Atta Mills, was a selfless leader. He prioritized the needs of the nation over personal and political gain. When he took over from the NPP government, he was the first to cut his own salary as a sincere gesture to show solidarity with the economic hardships faced by many Ghanaians.”

His reputation for integrity was widespread nationally and internationally. Forever in our hearts, Professor Mills.”
