Ace media personality, Bridget Otoo has taken swipe at men who tend to abuse women because they are very vocal.
Speaking in an interview with GhanaWeb TV on the topic “Women’s Role In Journalism In Ghana,” monitored by GhArticles.com, Bridget Otoo said it is unfair for women to face abuse after making a mistake on Live TV but a man does it and no one talks about it.
According to her, the system in Ghana has been made up in such a way that women are rarely invited to be part of panel discussions on a national topic on mainstream media.
“On a every platform there should be at least a woman on the programme, It’s not like they are not available, they are there but its either we are not reaching out to them or when we have them we abuse them,” she said.
She further added that men have always been afraid of women so they put certain things in place to keep them out of the way.
Explaining her point, she said men try to keep women who are too loud on check but show favoritism to women who are humble and sober.
