Man Who Walked from Kumasi to Mahama’s Inauguration Receives Car Gift

Alhaji Ayaana Yakubu, a 65-year-old who walked from Kumasi to Accra to celebrate President John Dramani Mahama’s inauguration, has been rewarded with:

– A brand-new Renault car

– An undisclosed sum of money

– Shopping vouchers worth GH¢5,000

The gift was sponsored by an anonymous philanthropist and presented by broadcaster Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD).

Alhaji Ayaana, known for his symbolic patriotic acts, has a history of similar feats, including a walk in 1997 to honor President Jerry John Rawlings and organizing a peace walk in 1999 to promote unity and health.
