Italian Serie A club S.S. Lazio is preparing a significant €10 million offer to acquire Ghanaian defender Alexander Djiku from Fenerbahce.
According to Sky Italia, Lazio is ready to make a substantial payment to convince Fenerbahce to release the 28-year-old center-back.
Djiku signed with Fenerbahce at the beginning of the last season on a three-year contract with an option for an additional year after a free transfer from Strasbourg.
His outstanding performances in Turkey have attracted the interest of several European clubs, including Sevilla and Napoli, who are also interested in signing him.
The Ghanaian international has appeared in 36 matches for Fenerbahce, accumulating 2841 minutes on the pitch and contributing 3 goals and 2 assists.
Lazio is keen to bring Djiku’s exceptional talents to the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, and a deal could be finalized soon if Fenerbahce accepts their offer.
