Kurt Okraku Re-elected as GFA President by Endorsement

Kurt Okraku has achieved a resounding re-election victory, securing his position as President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for a second term. The election took place in Tamale, Northern Region, on October 5, 2023, at the Global Dream Hotel.

 

In an uncontested race, Okraku garnered an impressive 117 YES votes, with only two individuals voting NO, and one abstention. His opponent, George Afriyie, was disqualified by both the Elections Committee and the Appeals Committee after a review process, leaving Okraku as the sole candidate.

Kurt Okraku, who formerly served as the Chief Executive Officer of Dreams FC, first assumed office on October 25, 2019.
