The Holy Bible says in 1 Corinthians 13:11; “When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.”
Veteran Dancehall artist Samini is 40-years-old today has decided to put away childish things.
It is said that life begins at 40 and so the Linda hitmaker feels he needs to turn a new leaf at his this age after engaging in some unnecessary fight since entering into the music industry.
Speaking in an interview on Peace FM, monitored by GhArticles.com, Samini, born Emmanuel Samini Dagaati disclosed that there are so many things he did at age 39 he has decided not repeat those things as he turns 40.
And one of such things is beefing with colleagues musicians in the industry.
Throwing more light on why he has decided not to beef anymore, he noted that beef is good for the growth of the entertainment industry, it keeps the vibe and makes the fans happy whenever two musicians dirty themselves over minor issues.
“For the entertainment and politics side we do those things to keep the vibe going and to keep the fans excited. It’s just like the fans of Kotoko and Hearts, they argue every time there is a game between the two, that aspect of it is there but we’re pushing for a more healthy and exciting beef than voilence,” he said.
According to him, he has left every bitterness has against any musician at age 39.
Samini and Stonebwoy make peace
Samini and Stonebwoy resolved the bad blood between the two of them after a social rift that occurred between the showbiz dons over loyalty issues.
The dancehall gurus made peace at the 5th edition of Stonebwoy’s Bhim Concert held in Accra on Tuesday December 21.
It all began when Stonebwoy accepted a dancehall lyrical challenge from his colleague, Shatta Wale in 2020 which was anticipated by most “Bhim” and “SM” fans.
Samini on the other hand damned Stonebwoy in a series of tweets for accepting the battle which occurred during the SoundClash concert at Asaase.
Stonebwoy did not take it likely as he clapped back at his former label boss and tagged him as a “sellout”.
He tweeted, “If like say eno be sellout when some father sellout ah, anka dem go friend this one (Shatta Wale)”.
Samini later responded in an interview and described Stonebwoy as disloyal, adding that, he did not recognize his (Samini) efforts.
He stated in the interview, “If I hear you on radio saying I am not there when you need me, it hurts. It makes me sit and break down. How did I sell out Stonebwoy? If Ghana can answer me? Those were the things that hurt me”.
The social rift between the two have been solved now.
Maybe fans should expect a collaboration from the dancehall gurus sooner.
However, GhArticles.com can’t confirm if the beef between Samini and Shatta Wale will also make peace after resolving his issues with his son, Stonebwoy.
