I let Go of my Ex- husband because he “Wanted” to kill himself- Empress Gifty

Letting go of someone you shared memories and love with is one of the difficult decisions to make. The decision to let go is a very difficult one especially when one is married to a perosn over ten years with two kids. This is the story of former Gifty Osei, currently known as Empress Gifty.
She mentioned that the divorce intentions were made by her ex- husband when she was in Canada in 2012. The ‘Aseda’ hitmaker discloses how she tried everything possible in her means to save her marriage but her ex- husband refused and insisted on a divorce.
She disclosed when she was interviewed on Stacy Amoateng’s restoration show. She emphasized that irrespective of the fact that she loved her ex-husband, she finally had to let go of the marriage in 2016 when his lawyers mentioned death.
Speaking in the twi dialect, she said: “I didn’t accept it because the divorce process wasn’t me, it was him. When his lawyer told me he wanted to kill himself, when he stays with me he will die… I didn’t want him to die. No, I don’t want it that way. The marriage finally collapsed in 2016”.
Two years after the divorce, she met Hopeson Adoye, a New Patriotic party (NPP) parliamentary candidate who married her just after three months of dating.
