A transformative gesture was witnessed as Hello World Organization presented 30 sets of all-in-one computers, complemented by individual projectors, printers, scanners, and photocopiers, along with UPS power backups for each computer, aiming to equip these educational institutions with state-of-the-art technological infrastructure. Furthermore, there was a comprehensive refurbishment of the laboratories, encompassing floor tiling, installation of air conditioners, replacement of fans, interior and exterior painting, incorporation of glass windows and doors, window blinds, enhanced security features including burglar proofing, thereby enhancing the overall ambience for teaching and learning.
Evans Adusei Jnr., while showcasing this remarkable act of kindness, reiterated the organization’s dedication to fostering an environment where students can effectively harness the potential of the donated devices. He emphasized the intention to go beyond merely inaugurating a computer lab, aiming to pay homage to a city that significantly contributed to shaping their lives. Prior to the refurbishment, the schools struggled with a limited number of functioning computers and classrooms that required maintenance.
“We didn’t just donate computers; we aimed to create an environment where these devices could be optimally utilized. Our initiative focuses on more than just refurbishing a computer lab; it’s about acknowledging the role of this city in our lives. We’ve not only ensured a power supply for the computers but also enhanced internet connectivity and completely revitalized the physical environment. Our efforts include revamped labs featuring brand-new tiled floors, fortified security features, and an overall aesthetic uplift with repainted rooms, upgraded fans, and the addition of air conditioners,” he expressed.
