The (ECG) has announced the commencement of investigations into reported metering and billing concerns raised by customers nationwide.
In a statement, ECG’s Director of Communications, William Boateng, said the exercise follows a directive from the Minister for Energy and Green Transition and forms part of the company’s commitment to transparency and accountability.
He explained that ECG operates a state-of-the-art metering laboratory where all meters are independently tested and certified by the (GSA) to ensure compliance with required standards.
To further boost public confidence, ECG has formally requested the GSA to conduct independent and random testing of meters both in the laboratory and in the field. The outcome of the exercise will be compiled into a report and submitted to the Energy Ministry.
The company reassured customers of its commitment to reliable service delivery and encouraged continued cooperation as investigations into the prepaid meter complaints progress.
