E-levy Doesn’t Make Sense – Kwaw Kese Speaks

The e-levy has become a central topic for discussion in Ghana since the Government through the Ministry of Finance proposed the electronic transaction tax during the last year’s budget for 2022.

Many Ghanaians have expressed their displeasure since the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, announced the government’s decision to introduce the electronic transaction levy.

Many have taken to social media to chastise the move and have described the policy to loot the average Ghanaian of the little income he makes.

Ghanaian rapper, Kwaw Kese has become the latest Ghanaian celebrity to blast the government over the controversial e-levy saga.

According to him, e-levy does not make sense because Ghanaians are against and government must listen to them.

He added that a desperate move from the government to forcibly pass the e-levy tax bill shows they want are looking for a chance to loot the country’s money.
