President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Dr. Doli-Wura Awushi Abdul-Malik Seidu Zakaria as the new Managing Director of the National Investment Bank (NIB), with his tenure officially starting on January 27, 2025.

The appointment was confirmed in a statement issued by the Executive Secretary to the President, Dr. Callistus Mahama, who conveyed the President’s congratulations and best wishes to Dr. Zakaria as he assumes his new role.

“Please accept the President’s best wishes,” the statement read, underscoring the administration’s confidence in Dr. Zakaria’s ability to steer the bank towards greater success.

Dr. Zakaria’s appointment comes at a crucial time for NIB, as the bank seeks to strengthen its financial position and enhance its role in national economic development. His leadership is expected to drive strategic reforms aimed at boosting investment opportunities and improving banking services across the country.
