The information for ranking the top 10 rappers in Ghana is sourced by Chartsafrica.com, Spotify and Youtube.
The first person on the list is Sarkodie. Sarkodie has 275k streams on Spotify and an average of 514k views on Youtube so far in 2020.
The ‘Anadwo‘ hitmaker recently was crowned the 2020 Artiste of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards USA ceremony. He has also been nominated for the upcoming AFRIMMA 2020.
The second rapper on the list is M.anifest. He is the son of the famous Ghanaian lawyer and academician Kwame Ametepee Tsikata and Rev. Dr. Priscilla Naana Nketia, a lawyer and pastor.
M.anifest has 54k Spotify streams and 560k Youtube views in 2020 so far. He won Best Rapper and Hip-Hop song of the year at the 2017 Ghana Music Awards.
The third best rapper in Ghana is Strongman Burner. The Kumasi-based rapper has an average 224k streams on Sportify and 14k views on Youtube so far in 2020.
He was recognized for winning the maiden edition of the Next Big Thing in GH Rap music which was a rap competition in Ghana. You can also call him Strong Gee.
Kwesi Arthur is the fourth best rapper in Ghana. He is considered one of the most talented young rapper in Ghana. He has one of the most-streamed Ghanaian rapper on Spotify with about 205k.
The Tema-based rapper has the won the heart of many Ghanaian music lovers including popular Ghanaian socialite and media personality Efia Odo, who has openly expressed in her interest in the young rapper.
AMG Medikal tops fifth on the list. Medikal has 40k Spotify streams. The father of Island Frimpong has made name for himself after collaborating with top musicians like Sarkodie, Kwaw Kese and the likes.
The ‘Omo Ada’ hitmaker is the husband of popular Ghanaian actress and model Fella Makafui.
