The Black Stars will commence training on Thursday in preparation for their pivotal 2026 World Cup qualifying matches against Mali and the Central African Republic.
According to the Ghana FA, the team will gather on May 30, 2024.
Head coach Otto Addo is set to arrive in the country later on Monday and will announce the squad for the upcoming games upon his arrival.
The team will conduct a six-day training camp at the University of Ghana Stadium in Legon before departing for Bamako for the match against Mali.
The Black Stars are looking to bounce back after securing one win and one loss in their initial two matches in Group I of the World Cup qualifiers.
Ghana began their campaign with a 1-0 victory over Madagascar in Kumasi but subsequently lost by the same scoreline to Comoros in Moroni.
The FIFA World Cup qualifier against Mali is scheduled to take place at Stade 26 Mars in Bamako on Thursday, June 6. Ghana will then face the Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Monday, June 10, 2024.
The Black Stars are not in optimal form leading up to these matches, having not secured a win in 2024, with two losses and three draws. They exited the Africa Cup of Nations at the group stage and later failed to beat Nigeria and Uganda in international friendlies held in Morocco.
Otto Addo, who was appointed following the dismissal of Chris Hughton, led the team during these friendlies before returning to Dortmund to complete his role as a talent coach.
His arrival in Ghana marks his full-time assumption of the national team coaching duties. Addo, who successfully qualified Ghana for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, has agreed to a 34-month contract with an option for an additional 24 months.
