Bibiani Gold Stars SC have clinched their maiden Ghana Premier League title with a dominant 4-0 victory over Accra Lions on the final day of the 2024-2025 season.
The emphatic win at Dun’s Park secured Gold Stars 63 points after 34 matches, as their closest rivals, Nations FC and Kumasi Asante Kotoko, both suffered defeats. Kotoko fell 3-1 to Vision FC at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex, while Nations FC were beaten 2-0 by Heart of Lions at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Stadium.
Gold Stars took early control of their match, with goals from Abdul Farouk Amoaful in the 4th minute and Kelvin Oppong in the 19th minute. A second-half strike from Samuel Atta Kumi in the 73rd minute sealed the title and fulfilled CEO Akwasi Adu’s vow to emulate FC Samartex’s title-winning feat last season.
Accra Lions had already been relegated before this match, having lost to Dreams FC in the previous round.
