Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, widely known as NAPO, has lavished praise on Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President and flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), describing him as an incorruptible figure. NAPO, who is also the Member of Parliament for Manhyia and the Minister of Energy, made these remarks during the NPP’s manifesto launch.
He emphasized that throughout Dr. Bawumia’s public service career, he has never been implicated in any corruption scandal. NAPO contrasted Dr. Bawumia’s integrity with that of his political opponents, stating that the Vice President has no hidden secrets.
“Let me say this, and I’ll say it again. I know, doctor, he’s not corrupt. In his public life, Mr. President, he has never been accused of corruption and in his public life, he has never been investigated for corruption, and he will never be,” NAPO stated.
He further characterized Dr. Bawumia as a dedicated leader, committed to ensuring a better future for Ghana. NAPO praised him as a firm, honest, and respectful problem-solver with a proven track record.
In his speech, NAPO urged Ghanaians and NPP supporters to rally behind Dr. Bawumia, ensuring that the achievements of President Akufo-Addo are protected and continued in the 2024 elections.
“There is so much we can do, patriots together, if we pull all our hearts and minds together towards that common goal, that common shared purpose of victory in December 2024,” NAPO added.
