Finance Minister Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam recently announced the resumption of funding for key infrastructure projects in Ghana. Exim Korea, the financiers of the University of Environment and Sustainable Development (UESD) Bunso Campus construction, has resumed disbursement to expedite progress on the project.
Additionally, Dr. Adam revealed that his ministry is collaborating with the United Kingdom Export Finance to disburse 6.6 million euros for all Issued Payment Certificates (IPCs) dated before November 2023. These funds are intended to be allocated to contractors, facilitating the remobilization and continuation of work on the halted Eastern Regional Hospital project.
Dr. Adam made these announcements during a courtesy visit to the Overlord of Akyem Abuakwa State, Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin, at his palace in Kyebi. The funding resumption marks a significant step towards the completion of these critical projects, which will have a lasting impact on the communities they serve.
