Ama Governor to be Called to the Bar on May 31, 2024

Elorm Ababio, a well-known Ghanaian social media influencer and openly bisexual personality, known as Ama Governor, is set to be called Bar

Ms. Ababio, along with 181 others, will be officially inducted into the Bar on May 31, 2024.

A notice from the Director of the Ghana School of Law indicates that this list could change if the General Legal Council discovers any irregularities.

This follows her two consecutive rejections in 2022 and 2023.

The graduate of the Ghana School of Law gained significant attention online in 2022 and 2023 when she was denied entry to the Bar.

The General Legal Council cited “conduct unbecoming of an applicant to be called to the Bar” as the reason for their decision.

This decision sparked a public debate, with many questioning the grounds for her rejection.

While some praised the General Legal Council for its stance, the Council faced substantial backlash from social media users, fans, and supporters of the influencer.

After numerous legal battles, she has now been given the opportunity to officially practice her dream profession as a lawyer.
