Samuel Owusu Amankwah, a former NPP youth organizer in the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency, has made allegations of bribery during the vetting process for the parliamentary candidate selection in the area.
Amankwah, who was disqualified from contesting against the incumbent Lydia Seyram Alhassan, claimed that he was approached and offered money to step down from the race in favor of the sitting MP. Despite the alleged offer, he refused to comply. Additionally, he contested the grounds upon which he was disqualified.
Daniel Parker, the Secretary for the NPP in the Greater Accra Region, dismissed these accusations in an interview with Citinews, refuting any claims of bribery or undue influence in the vetting process.
