All I Did Was To Support Mr. Drew-Stonebwoy.

Award winning Ghanaian reggae dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has spoken over Mr. Drew’s issue; the pulling down of his cover song titled ‘Eat’.

According to the ‘Sobolo’ hitmaker, he is a selfless person and all he had to do to help Drew was to support him.

He added that with the way the news is going viral, he is beginning to feel disturbed due to the fact that his name is being pulled through the issue.

Speaking in an interview with Joy Fm, Stonebwoy revealed that he volunteered to give out a verse to his song and contacted Mr. Drew due to his relationship he has with Kaywa, CEO of highly spiritual.

Stonebwoy disclosed that he didn’t have any knowledge the song was not an original song from Mr. Drew until his brother informed him.

After, he revealed he reached out to Mr. Drew again and enquired from him and he (Drew) informed him the song is a cover.

Stonebwoy added that he knows very well Kaywa’s brand is not an upcoming one so he thought they have done the right thing by seeking permission from the owner of the original song and obeying copyright laws but they did otherwise.

He however admonished everyone to stop drawing his name into the issue.

So I think it will be beautiful for them to probably leave my name out of it now that it is becoming a sarcas around because I am in no power suppose to clear anything. I got to find out later.”
