Alan Kyerematen postpones Media Engagements over Unforeseen Circumstances

Alan Kyerematen, a prominent figure in the NPP presidential race, has had to delay his planned media engagement due to unexpected circumstances. This event was anticipated to play a pivotal role in determining the future of his political journey and whether he would still compete in the party’s presidential primaries.

Since 2008, Kyerematen has consistently sought the NPP’s flagbearer position but recently faced disappointment in the party’s special electoral college, which aimed to narrow down the field to five candidates. His aspirations to secure a top-two spot were dashed when Kennedy Agyapong, the MP for Assin Central, secured 132 votes, leaving Kyerematen in third place with a total of 95 votes.

There is discontent within Kyerematen’s camp regarding the handling of the internal polls by the national executives, with accusations of favoritism towards a particular candidate. Alan Kyerematen’s campaign team issued a statement this morning announcing the postponement of the event and promising to communicate a new date soon.
