Akufo-Addo: Posterity Will Judge My Administration’s Performance

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has expressed confidence that his administration’s achievements will be appreciated by future generations. Speaking at the launch of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana’s (PCG) Bicentennial Anniversary on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at the Osu Castle, he reflected on his government’s efforts to transform Ghana’s economy and society.

The outgoing President emphasized significant advancements in education, health, energy, industry, infrastructure, and agriculture under his leadership. He noted that these policies have improved the quality of life for citizens and set a foundation for future progress.

“I speak to you proud of the achievements my government has chalked under God’s guidance and the support of our people. From transformative policies in education, health, industry, infrastructure, and agriculture, to the promotion of good governance and economic development.”

Akufo-Addo expressed humility and optimism, stating that history will recognize his administration’s contributions to national development.

The President commended the Presbyterian Church of Ghana for its contributions to national development over the past 200 years, particularly in education, healthcare, and moral guidance.

“The impact of the gospel is not only seen in schools and hospitals but in the moral fibre of our people. As President, I have often drawn strength and wisdom from the word of God.”

Akufo-Addo also acknowledged the church’s unwavering support through prayers and encouragement during his tenure.

In his remarks, the President conveyed gratitude for the church’s partnership and underscored the importance of faith and perseverance during challenging times.

As Akufo-Addo prepares to leave office, he remains confident that the foundations laid by his government will propel Ghana towards progress and prosperity.
