Tooth decay is as a result of microorganisms, food and saliva which stick and remain on teeth for long.
Salts such as calcium and phosphorus start to dig into the tooth causing a slight yellow or brown colouring otherwise known as tartar or dental calculus.

Tartar is one of the major causes of tooth decay, bad breath and gums problems. However, you can save yourself by using this simple home remedy.
Ingredients
Baking soda, apple juice, water and pear pulp.
Method
- Mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda with half a tablespoon of salt. Add apple juice and shake weel to acquire a homogeneous mixture.
- Using a soaked toothbrush in warm water. Deep it in the solution 1 above. Brush your teeth and spit it out.
- Mix two tablespoons of baking soda again with warm water. Add pear pulp. Rinse your mouth with mixture and spit.
- Remove the soft tartar carefully with a toothpick. Do not scratch or touch your gums.
- Use your preferred antiseptic mouthwash to rinse your mouth.
