Two people lost their lives, and six others were injured in a fatal road accident that occurred at Kwasu, along the Bechem–Techimantia road in the Ahafo Region, on Monday, November 10, 2025.
The tragic incident happened at about 1:45 p.m., prompting a swift response from firefighters of the Bechem Fire Station, led by ASTNO Kwaku Doe.
According to reports, the crash involved a Toyota Voxy vehicle with registration number AS 6403-25. When the rescue team arrived at the scene, two victims were found dead. Their bodies were handed over to the police for further procedures.
Six other passengers who sustained varying degrees of injuries were rescued and transported by the National Ambulance Service to the Bechem Government Hospital for medical attention.
Authorities have yet to determine the exact cause of the accident. Meanwhile, the vehicle suffered extensive damage as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
