Police Arrest Man for Running Illegal Clinic in Yeji

The Bono East Regional Police Command has arrested a man identified as Hanson Osei for allegedly operating an unlicensed medical clinic from his residence at Yeji Zongo.

Osei was apprehended on September 28, 2025, after police intelligence led officers to his home, where he had reportedly converted a chamber-and-hall room into a clinic.

A search of the premises uncovered several medical items, including used needles, malaria injection bottles, infusion rubber sachets, and other clinical supplies.

During interrogation, the suspect admitted to running the unauthorized clinic for the past 11 years without certification from any recognized medical school or licensing authority.

He was subsequently arraigned before the Tuobodom District Court on September 30, 2025, where he was remanded into custody. The case has been adjourned to October 6, 2025 for further proceedings.

Police have urged the public to report such illegal medical practices to safeguard public health and safety.
