Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale has accused the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) of storming his home with armed personnel in what he describes as an intimidation tactic.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, the artiste, born Charles Nii Armah Mensah, alleged that EOCO’s Executive Director, Raymond Archer, personally led the operation at his residence. Though he did not disclose the exact time or reason for the incident, he voiced strong displeasure over the alleged show of force.
“The President didn’t appoint you to intimidate Ghanaians,” Shatta Wale wrote, adding, “Remember, God never sleeps.”
He went on to issue a political warning, suggesting that such actions could harm the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the next election:
“Raymond Archer, EOCO boss, it’s people like you who will cause the NDC to lose power in four years. Bringing guns to my house was unnecessary.”
