Ghanaian Afrobeats star King Promise was named Artiste of the Year at the 26th edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), cementing his place as one of the country’s top music talents.

The awards ceremony, held on Saturday, May 10, at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre, was a star-studded evening featuring dazzling performances and moving tributes to iconic Ghanaian musicians.

King Promise emerged victorious in the most prestigious category of the night, triumphing over a competitive lineup that included Stonebwoy, Black Sherif, Kwaku Smoke, King Paluta, Joe Mettle, and gospel group Team Eternity.

Among the evening’s other notable winners were Beeztrom Kotm, who took home the award for Best New Artiste, and Stonebwoy, who once again secured the title of Best Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year.
