UCC Graduates 63 Inmates from Nsawam Prison in Distance Learning Programme

The University of Cape Coast (UCC) has successfully graduated 63 inmates of the Nsawam Medium Security Prison in the Eastern Region who have completed their undergraduate programmes through the College of Distance Education (CoDE).

The graduating class comprised 58 males and 5 females, with three inmates earning First-Class Honours in Bachelor of Education (JHS Education). Additionally, 10 students graduated with Second Class Upper Division, 19 with Second Class Lower Division, six with Third Class, and one with a Pass.

In the Bachelor of Commerce (Management) programme, one student attained Second Class Upper Division, seven achieved Second Class Lower Division, three secured Third Class, and six obtained Passes. The Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) programme recorded two graduates with Second Class Upper Division, two with Second Class Lower Division, one with Third Class, and two with Passes.

The Overall Best Graduating Student was Mathew Milluzieh, who earned a remarkable Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.8.
