Teen actor Hudson Meek, known for his role in the 2017 film Baby Driver, tragically passed away after falling from a moving vehicle in Vestavia Hills, Alabama.
The incident occurred on December 19 in the Birmingham suburb, with Meek succumbing to his injuries two days later, as confirmed by the Jefferson County coroner’s office.
While the Vestavia Hills Police Department is investigating, they have yet to release any public statements about the accident.
Hudson Meek made his acting debut in 2014’s The Santa Con and appeared in TV series like MacGyver. He gained recognition for portraying a younger version of Ansel Elgort’s character in Baby Driver.
His Instagram page paid tribute to his short but impactful life, stating, “His 16 years on this earth were far too short, but he accomplished so much and significantly impacted everyone he met.”
Meek was a student at Vestavia Hills High School, where he played football, participated in Bible studies, and sang in the school choir. He also enjoyed skiing, curating music playlists for friends, and had visited all 50 U.S. states.
A funeral and memorial service are planned for Saturday, with the service to be livestreamed on his Instagram account.
