Russian President Vladimir Putin has extended his congratulations to Ghana’s President-elect, John Dramani Mahama, following his victory in the December 7 elections.
In a formal message, President Putin applauded Mahama’s election as a significant achievement and expressed optimism about further strengthening the longstanding, friendly relations between Russia and Ghana.
“The Russian-Ghanaian relations have traditionally been of a friendly nature. I believe that Your work as the Head of State will contribute to the further development of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation in various fields,” Putin stated.
He further wished Mahama success in his leadership role, emphasizing good health and wellbeing as essential for his tenure.
