The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has urged Ghanaians to choose progress and continuity by voting for him in the December 7 elections. Speaking at the party’s final rally at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on December 5, Dr. Bawumia emphasized that he represents the future of Ghana’s development.
“The choice we have is between backward and forward. Do we want to move forward or go backward?” he asked the crowd.
Dr. Bawumia, who is also Ghana’s Vice President, pledged to build on the achievements of the Akufo-Addo administration and take the country to the next level.
“We believe it is possible to transform this country into an advanced nation. We have a mindset of possibilities, and we believe in the future of Ghana,” he stated.
Highlighting key achievements of the NPP government, Dr. Bawumia noted the successful implementation of the Free Senior High School policy, which has benefitted over five million students, the restoration of teacher trainee allowances, and significant investments in health and education infrastructure.
“We have solved the problems of parents who could not afford secondary school fees and expanded educational infrastructure. No government has invested more in health infrastructure than the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration,” he asserted.
He concluded by urging the electorate to reject stagnation and backwardness and embrace the vision of possibilities and progress under his leadership.
