The University of Ghana (UG) has announced that the 2024/2025 academic year will officially commence on October 31, 2024, with lectures beginning on November 4, 2024. This follows an earlier indefinite postponement made on September 25, 2024, due to a strike by some tertiary workers’ unions.
In an official statement, UG’s management confirmed the revised start date, noting that details for undergraduate students are available in the attached academic calendar. Similar schedules for other student categories will be released in the coming days.
