The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has distanced itself from a campaign advert produced by comedian DKB, which aimed to explain John Mahama’s 24-hour economy policy ahead of the December 7 general elections.

DKB, a well-known Ghanaian comedian and media personality, has been vocal in his support for the NDC. However, his attempt to explain the party’s 24-hour economy plan in a campaign video was met with widespread ridicule on social media.

The video portrayed a message suggesting that businesses and banking institutions would operate around the clock, but many viewers misinterpreted it, leading to criticism of his approach.

In response, the NDC’s National Communications Bureau issued a statement emphasizing the importance of clear and coordinated messaging. The party also encouraged its supporters to seek approval and guidance from the communications bureau before releasing campaign materials to ensure message consistency and effectiveness.
