Bawumia Will Place Third in 2024 Election, Mahama and Alan to Face Runoff – Hopeson Adorye Predicts

Hopeson Adorye, a senior member of the Movement for Change, has made a striking forecast regarding the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) performance in the upcoming general elections.

Adorye predicts that widespread dissatisfaction with Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, also known as NAPO, will result in a significant defeat for the NPP, potentially pushing the party into opposition.

In an interview with Nana Yaa Brefo on Onua FM on July 4, Adorye clarified that his comments were not rooted in personal animosity towards NAPO, whom he regards as a friend and brother. “Opoku Prempeh is a good friend of mine and a brother. On a personal score, he is very good. He is a real human, he is forceful as well,” Adorye stated, emphasizing their personal bond.

Adorye pointed out that it is the general public sentiment towards NAPO that he believes will be the decisive factor in the NPP’s potential downfall. “The general feeling of the people towards Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh is what will take the NPP into opposition. The general feeling of the people, that is what will take the NPP to opposition,” he reiterated.

He further predicted that the NPP’s loss would be unprecedented with Dr. Prempeh as the party’s running mate. “The loss of the NPP will be historical, their loss will be historical,” Adorye asserted, indicating a significant shift in the political landscape.

According to Adorye, the NPP is expected to place third in the general elections, trailing behind the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the Movement for Change, which he supports. “For this general election, the NPP will place third with NDC and Alan’s party, Movement for Change, in the run-offs,” he said.

As Ghana’s political scene intensifies, Adorye’s remarks add to the ongoing discussions about the NPP’s electoral prospects. Whether his predictions will come true remains to be seen.
