Ghana did not secure any nominations for the 2024 BET Awards, which will take place later this year. This is in contrast to last year, when Black Sherif brought pride to Ghana by winning the Best International Flow award at the BET Hip Hop Awards 2023.
In a significant showing, seven Nigerian artists received nominations across various categories. The nominees are Ayra Starr, Burna Boy, Tems, Asake, Seyi Vybez, Davido, and Lojay.
Ayra Starr leads the Nigerian nominees with three nods, followed closely by Burna Boy and Tems, who each received two nominations.
South African singer Tyla stands out as the African artist with the highest number of nominations, garnering four in total.
Drake leads the overall nominations for the 2024 BET Awards with seven, followed by Nicki Minaj, who has six.
